I've always been drawn to things with a story — a piece of sea glass worn smooth by years of tide, a spoon that sat in someone's grandmother's kitchen drawer for decades, a stone pulled straight from the earth. That's really where Nature's Treasures Jewelry started: not with a plan to run a business, but with a habit of picking things up and wondering what they could become.
These days, I create handmade jewelry from a mix of materials that might not seem like they belong together at first — stones and crystals I cut and drill myself, pearls, shell, and coral gathered from the sea, antique silverware I rescue and reshape, and every so often something completely unexpected, like a mahjong tile or a tiny Barbie shoe. Half the fun is figuring out how something was never meant to be jewelry can become exactly that.
Beyond the everyday earrings, necklaces, and bracelets, I make tie tacks, pins, and pens — smaller, often overlooked pieces that I love giving a second life. I silversmith, solder, and work in filigree, and every once in a while I'll take on a piece of chainmail just for the challenge of it. Because I make everything by hand, no two pieces come out quite the same. What looks like a small imperfection to me is usually the thing that makes a piece one of a kind.
I don't keep to one style or one material — if it catches my eye and I think I can do something interesting with it, it usually ends up on my workbench eventually.
